How Text Giving Works

Step 1

Donors text a designated keyword and the amount they’d like to give to one of the following numbers: 77977 (USA), 818 (NZ), or 0488 202 202 (Australia).

Step 2

Donors complete a one-time registration.

Step 3

Donors confirm the amount and any other required details, such as a credit card number.

Step 4

Once a donor has made their first contribution, all they have to do is text the amount they want to give to that first phone number and they’ll receive confirmation of their donation via text and email.

Why Church Communities Love Text Giving

Donating and tithing via text is incredibly easy

Once someone is registered to give via text, it’s as easy as typing an amount and hitting send. No passwords to remember or credit card numbers to have handy. It’s also very accessible, as you can count on a majority of your church community having a mobile phone they keep on them most (if not all) of the time.

Text giving offers more security than physical cash and checks

Utilizing a digital tool like text giving for tithes and donations drastically cuts down on the risk of human error, such as physical currency being lost, mishandled, or miscounted.

People can still give in-person or via a church app

Text giving simply provides yet another way for your community to give, and doesn’t mean that people won’t write checks, offer cash, or utilize a church app. With an option to donate and tithe via text, church members are free to give how they want, when they want.
