One place for every gift: The next chapter of the Staq Transformation
Find out why we launched the Staq Transformation, and Single Staq Giving as its next chapter.
If you help manage finances at your church, you know the routine: correct a gift in one system, then open the other and fix it again. ChMS and Pushpay Giving grew up as separate systems, each keeping its own copy of the truth.
We hear you. Fixing that is why we launched the Staq Transformation, and Single Staq Giving is its next chapter.
See it in action
What we’ve launched so far
The fix started at the foundation: one shared record for every person and every gift, so both systems reference the same truth instead of keeping their own.
It started with Fund Sync. Create or edit a fund in Giving and it appears in your ChMS Chart of Accounts. No duplicate entry or manual mapping. Then came transaction edit syncing: fix a gift once in Giving, and the update syncs to ChMS automatically. Then recurring schedule syncing, so when donors change their recurring gifts, both systems stay in step. Whatever changes, both systems always match.
You may not have noticed much of this work, and that’s by design. Quietly, churches across Pushpay have already synced over 1 million transactions between Giving and ChMS. Behind those sit more than half a million recurring gifts, 40,000+ pledges, and 20,000+ funds.
Batching is disappearing as a chore as well. 800+ churches now use Autobatch, and nearly 100 are already on Immediate Autobatch, where batches are created the moment gifts arrive, and your church can turn it on today.
What’s next: Single Staq Giving
- One place for your financial administration. Statements, funds, batches, and deposits are all managed in one system instead of two. That includes transaction edits, which are moving out of ChMS and into Giving. You’ll make a correction once, and it will sync automatically.
- One simple rule. If it touches your church’s finances, it happens in Giving. And to be just as clear: your financial reporting stays in ChMS, with giving data syncing automatically and staying fully reportable.
- One record, not two. Think of the donor email about a gift in the wrong fund. You open Giving, fix it, and you’re done. No second system to update.
What stays the same
Reporting on your giving data stays in ChMS. Your data keeps syncing from Giving to ChMS automatically and stays fully reportable, alongside the reporting available in Giving. Your people data continues to live and be managed in ChMS. If your team runs giving reports, contribution statements, or year-end analysis out of ChMS today, nothing about that changes.
And the best part is still ahead: giving statements are going to run straight from Giving, with improved presentation options, built on one set of records.
In short: financial administration happens in Giving, people are managed in ChMS, and reporting works in both.
How we’ll help you get ready
Nothing changes for your team today, and there’s nothing you need to do right now. In the coming months, we’ll share step-by-step resources and advance notice before anything moves, so your team knows what to expect. We’ll guide every church through the change, step by step.
