15 years of generosity

In July 2011, Pushpay aimed to transform the act of giving to churches, making it as simple as downloading a song on a mobile device. What we didn’t see coming was how much you’d teach us about generosity in return.

The generosity you’ve shown your staff, your community, and the people who walk through your doors shapes how our team approaches our own work every day. That’s part of why we feel so privileged to walk alongside more than 14,000 churches as they better know and grow their flock.

Which is why our 15 year anniversary isn’t really about us. It’s about you — churches like Irving Bible Church in Texas, who are rising to meet the needs of families in their community. Every year, their Thanksgiving Basket Outreach turns a holiday that’s genuinely hopeless for so many struggling households into one filled with hope, because a congregation decided generosity wasn’t seasonal — it was who they are. That’s the kind of impact we get to witness constantly, and it’s what this anniversary is really about.

I believe the Church is on the cusp of a revival. Leaders I speak with around the country can sense this fresh energy, a groundswell of enthusiasm from a new wave of Christians who are eager to grow in their faith. That makes this an exciting and hopeful moment for Pushpay and the Church as we pursue our shared mission.

So, to acknowledge and celebrate the impact you’ve made over these past 15 years, we’re extending an invitation to share your story — and to extend that impact even further.

We’re awarding $15,000 across three churches currently using Pushpay, who are willing to share their story of generosity and have a vision for their community. Whether that means funding a new project, remodeling your building, or kickstarting that dream mission you and your staff have wanted to launch for years, we simply want to fuel the generosity that’s already in your heart, for the sake of the Kingdom.

Here’s how it works: film a short video — sixty seconds is plenty — telling us how Pushpay has helped your church create impact in your community, and how you’d put $5,000 to use in your ministry. Submit your video here between now and August 29th. We’ll announce the three churches whose stories we get to celebrate in September, and we genuinely can’t wait to see what you share.
